01

Do not depend on the destination

Resort-area stations may have limited or seasonal hours. Fuel in the city while you have several alternatives.

02

Longer routes need a larger margin

Shiga Kogen and Myoko require more time and elevation than nearby Togari or Nozawa. Snow, queues and road restrictions can increase fuel use.

03

Work backwards from the rental return

If your contract requires a full tank, allow time to leave the resort, find an open station, keep the receipt and complete the return inspection.

FAQ

Questions about fuel

Should I fill the tank before going to the mountains?

A comfortable fuel reserve is recommended, especially for longer or snowy routes.

Are there stations at ski resorts?

Some areas may have fuel, but hours can be limited. City refuelling is more reliable.

Do I need the receipt?

Keep it if your rental provider asks for proof of refuelling.
