Check the requirements
before you book.

Foreign and international visitors are welcome when they have documents valid for driving in Japan and the renter can personally complete the Japanese counter procedure.

This form is for questions and eligibility preparation. It does not make or guarantee a reservation.

Nationality is not the test

The important points are whether your original driving documents are valid in Japan and whether the renter can complete the store procedure.

Prepare before arrival

Check the licence route, passport, Japanese accommodation address, reachable mobile number and payment conditions before booking.

We help you prepare in English

Use this English form before booking. Our local team can help you confirm the document route, address, phone and payment requirements, and pick-up flow. At the counter, the renter must still personally complete the Japanese contract and safety explanation; this preparation support cannot act as an interpreter or waive the official condition.

We use this form to help you prepare in English before arrival. We can clarify the required documents, address, phone and payment conditions, and pick-up flow. At the counter, Nico Nico Rent a Car still requires the renter to personally complete the contract and safety explanation in Japanese; this support cannot be used as an interpreter or waive that condition.
