Read the agreement before choosing a pump
Full-tank return and mileage-based settlement are different. Check the rental agreement, fuel-door label and vehicle guide. Ask the rental company if the fuel type is unclear.
Do not guess from vehicle size. If the wrong fuel is added, do not start the engine; contact the rental provider and station staff.
Work backwards from opening hours
Some Iiyama stations publish 24-hour fuel access, while staff support and other services may have shorter hours. Identify more than one suitable station before the final drive back.
In winter, allow extra time for traffic, snow around the fuel door, unloading and vehicle inspection before walking to the train.
Keep evidence of the final fill
Keep a receipt showing fuel type, quantity, time and station. Check the fuel gauge after filling and raise any issue before leaving the station.
